8 Habits That Improved My Life

 
 

1. Meditation

Meditation has been such a gift! Whenever I want to be centered, calm down or feel more at peace meditating is my go to. Quieting the mind does take some practice. I started out with just a minute or two and worked my way up. Now I’ll usually do at least 30-60 minutes each day but some days I’ll meditate multiple times throughout the day and for longer. Meditating also helps be more intentional, connect with deeper thoughts and helps me sleep better.

 
 

2. Learning and Reading

Making learning and reading a daily practice has been so fun and inspiring. I enjoy audio books and podcasts for most of my learning and reading which has made it so much easier to listen while I go for a walk, drive or workout. Most libraries even have a app that lets you download audiobooks straight to your smartphone for free as long as you have a library card!

 
 

3. Exercise

“Endorphins make you happy” Elle Woods from Legally Blond was right moving puts you in a better mood and helps support health and fitness.

 
 

4. Sunlight and Nature

Getting at least 15 minutes of sun and being in nature just does something healing for the soul.

 
 

5. Hydrate

Staying hydrated does wonders! It makes your skin look better, helps with digestion, boosts your performance during workouts, prevent overeating by creating a sense of fullness - often when we feel hungry it is actually because we are thirsty / dehydrated.

 
 

6. Nutrient Dense Foods

The benefits of eating lots of whole healthy foods include more energy, better sleep, help you get to or maintain a healthy weight and help prevent disease.

 
 

7. Gratitude

A daily gratitude practice is so key for your mindset, happiness and success. List 3+ unique things/people/experiences that you’re grateful for each day or take a few minutes to think of what you’re grateful for. This practice leads to happiness and is a message to the universe – the universe like to send more to those who have an attitude of gratitude.

 
 

8. Set Intentions

This practice is transformational! Writing out your intentions for the day does wonders. I write out my intentions for health and wellness, business, money, social, self care and more!
